Sean McNabb is a Musician/Actor.
Sean joined Dokken in 2009 and has been a mainstay with the band since. After knowing Don since the mid-eighties Sean's first gig with Dokken came in '04 at the Monterrey Metal Fest. From 04-08 Sean subbed with Dokken on and off before joining full time in '09 then doing the LIGHTNING STRIKES AGAIN tour. Following that successful run, Sean worked in the studio during the recording of their GREATEST HITS II release.
He has recorded over 35 CD's in his discography. He has also toured and recorded with the following: Quiet Riot, House of Lords,Great White, Lynch Mob, Montrose, Bad Moon Rising, Rough Cutt, XYZ. Sean can be heard on the Dr. Phil Show in the music tracks and also the "I'm Loving It" McDonald's breakfast commercials. Sean has also performed with several pop artists, country, blues, and folk singer/songwriters.
Sean acted in plays as a child/teen, but turned his attention more to music after seeing the movie Tommy at ten years old. Its rock-and-roll story had Sean hooked and he dreamed of following in the footsteps of bass player "The Who's" John Entwhistle. By the time Sean was 15 he was performing in bars and nightclubs in his home state of Indiana as a bass player and singer.
At 21, Sean moved to Los Angeles to hit the Sunset Strip. Within two weeks he was hired as the new bass player for Quiet Riot, the first heavy metal band to hit the billboard charts. Sean played around the world with Quiet Riot, and has fond memories of playing for troops in Japan and at a concert fundraiser called Japan Aid. Over the past 25 years Sean's bands have been on tour packages with The Scorpions, Poison, Cinderella, James Brown, Skid Row, Ozzy Osbourne, to name a few. While not on the road, Sean can be seen around town jamming with his longtime friends.
Sean co-hosted the Pasadena Jazz Festival, "Rock Relief" at the Key Club to benefit Hurricane Katrina survivors, and the Hein Gericke fashion show for high-end motorcycle wear at a sport bike conventions.
Sean has studied Stanislavski's acting method with Sal Romeo and Jeffery Brooks. He has appeared in Films, Four Christmas', The Obsession, TV, Sons Of Anarchy, Community, NCIS LA and commercials. Sean has starred in the musicals "Flirting with Morty" alongside known actors Dorian Harewood (Full Metal Jacket, Roots) and Allison Arngrim (Nelly-Little House on the Prarie). He also starred in the play "Lost Spirit" alongside Dale Christian (Phantom of the Opera) and Bill Hutton (Joseph and the Tecnhincolor Dreamcoats).
Sean lives in Los Angeles and is engaged to Christine Devine(anchor/Fox 11 News).
Together they are strong community activists and often tie their contrasting careers together. They ride in charity Harley rides to benefit Orangewood Children's Home and The Boys and Girls Club of Santa Ana. They've presented at the Access Awards honoring the best local musicians. They've golfed in the following charity tournaments: LAPD, 911 for Kids, American Federation of Musicians, Richard Karn's(Children's Hospital). Jack Wagner's (Leukemia) Sean is also a frequent speaker supporting those recovering from drug and alcohol abuse.
